The hit “Hannah Montana” movie will be nearly unavoidable on television this month in every dimension. But it’s the folks at American Paper Optics, LLC (“APO”) that will be ready to escape and move on to their next massive project. APO recently produced over 25 million 3D glasses for the new Hannah Montana movie “Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert” premiering on the Disney Channel on Sat., July. 26 at 8pm/7c. The 3D movie will also begin showing on Starz on Demand and Starz HD on Demand channels on Sunday, July 27. The 3D glasses were manufactured by APO in less than a 90 day period, getting the huge undertaking completed 10 days early. The Hannah Montana 3D glasses, distributed throughout the United States and Canada, are available FREE at Wal-Mart stores now and will also be distributed in the July 21 edition of TV Guide.
This 3D glasses empire, American Paper Optics, has produced and distributed nearly one billion 3D glasses worldwide for promotions involving movies, music, television, web sites, video games, theme park attractions, laser light shows, and fireworks displays. APO mega-clients include Disney, National Geographic, Mattel, Warner Brothers, Crayola, Sports Illustrated, TV Guide, VH-1, and Dreamworks. Owner John Jerit, named “Small Business Executive of the Year” in 1998 by the Memphis Business Journal, has literally changed the way people view the world–one pair of 3D glasses at a time.
APO, the world leader in paper 3D eyewear, continues to diversify and “see” into the new millennium by striving to reach an ever-expanding world marketplace with their custom manufacturing capabilities, in-house graphic arts department, 3D conversion specialists, and retail divisions.
Some of the major 3D movie titles scheduled for release during the first half of 2009 include: Paramount’s animated “Monsters vs. Aliens”; the next “Ice Age” cartoon from Fox, “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs”; and the theatrical re-release of Disney and Pixar’s first 2 “Toy Story” movies in full 3D followed by the highly anticipated “Toy Story 3” set to release in the Summer of 2010. With the 3D boom ready to explode, American Paper Optics, LLC is indeed poised for a bright and three dimensional future.
Currently, American Paper Optics has begun work on their next “massive” project; producing the specialized paper 3D glasses that will accompany the Warner Bros. movie “Journey to the Center of the Earth” in its DVD release.
